On the occasion of the electricity market opening for medium voltage customers that from the 1st January must choose a new supplier. There are about 3.000 medium voltage customers, with 8.000 measuring points. For them will fight 70 suppliers that have been registered so far in Serbia. Liberalization means the right on free choice of supplier, and if the buyer is not satisfied, he can change it.
When it comes to future rights and obligations of eligible medium voltage customers, as well as the conditions and methods for the supplier selection there are few basic power market facts.
There are about 3.000 medium voltage customers, with 8.000 measuring points. For them will fight 70 suppliers that have been registered so far in Serbia. Liberalization means the right on free choice of supplier, and if the buyer is not satisfied, he can change it. If on the other hand, he does not sign a contract with any supplier, he has the right to do it within 60 days, and during that time to use the backup supply, which is significantly more expensive. If even after this deadline he would not enter into a contract with any supplier, he will be excluded from the network.
Assistant Director for Commercial Supply in the company “EPS Supply” Zvezdan Cosic says that this company was founded by separation of the distribution, when it received a license to supply. Cosic promised to the businessmen the modernized and clearer account of the electricity consumed in the near future. However, the most important message that he impressed to them was that no one had a better price than “EPS Supply “.
-We have two packets which we sent to the clients on the annual level. One package is with a single electricity price and the other with higher and lower tariff. Our offers have been already accepted by almost all major clients in Serbia – said Cosic.
