Serbia: TPP Morava 20MEUR overhaul to extend operation life span for 10years
, AppSerbiaThermal power plant (TE) “Morava” from Svilajnac, part of Public Enterprise TPP “Nikola Tesla” Obrenovac, this year will have a capital repair that will extend its life for the next ten years.
The repair will begin on June 1st and will run until 27 November and it will “cost” more than 20 million euros, told director of “Morava” Marija Stevanovic.
– In addition to standard repair activities in the capital repair, larger scale operations are planned too – said Stevanovic.
– It is planned to replace the furnace of the caldron with the one with membrane, the second stage of the replacement of turbine SP, intermediate bearing block and starting steam station RS 1 and RS 2, capital repair of the generator with the replacement of the hydrogen sealing system and reconstruction of electric filters – specified Stevanovic.
– The completion of these works will enable the “prolongation of the operational life and safe and secure running of TPP ” Morava “block, in the next ten years at least – assessed Stevanovic.
The tender for the works in progress, she added.
Stevanovic said that last year “Morava” met its production plan.
The last capital repair of turbine and other parts was completed in late 2004, when we moved to the fully computerized guidance and management of the block, and it was done by experts and members of the “Mihajlo Pupin” Institute from Belgrade.
A year later, owing it to well performed overhaul, “Morava” had a record production of 600 million kilowatt hours of electricity. It was on the network for 7,267 hours.
