Thermal Power Plants company Nikola Tesla entered the regular seasonal overhaul process. Two units will be offline for regular maintenance of boiler and pipeline maintenance until 1.6.2014 stated Mihajlo Nikolic TENT A plant director.
A 309 megawatt (MW) unit at Serbia’s Nikola Tesla coal-fired power plant (TENT) complex has gone offline until the end of May as part of a routine maintenance, the plant confirmed to Serbia Energy.
It said that another 348 MW unit will also be shut down for an overhaul for a period of one month, starting on May 1, the TENT said in a statement.
The two units are part of Serbia’s largest power generation complex which has an installed capacity of 3,288 MW and produces half of the nation’s electricity. The Balkan country produces 70 percent of its power in ageing coal-fired plants and the rest from hydro power.
