Serbia: Traded electricity in July on SEEPEX
, News Serbia EnergyTraded volume in July 2020 on the Serbian energy exchange SEEPEX was 14.8 % lower than in the same month last year. A total of 191,179.4 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market in July 2020, which is a 21.9 % decrease compared to the previous month, with an average of 6,167.1 MWh/day.
Average daily base price on day-ahead market in July amounted to 36.63 euros/MWh, which is a 22.9 % increase compared to June, while average euro-peak price reached 38.94 euros/MWh (+ 23.1 %). SEEPEX was officially launched on 17 February 2016, with traded volume 1,925 MWh. It is jointly owned by Serbian electricity transmission system operator EMS and European Power Exchange (EPEX SPOT) with the idea to support the development of a competitive, transparent and reliable electricity market in Serbia and south-eastern Europe and make a significant impact on the increase of trading volumes of electricity in the region.
