24 windmills will be constructed on 450 ha parcel. These windmills will be able to produce more than 48 MWH of electricity.
Like Germany, Spain, France and other developed countries that have respectable wind power capacities, Serbia is also on the road to begin construction of wind parks like Strategy of Energy Ministry predicts.
French Company IEL is interested to construct a wind park 48 MW strong in part of Kikinda’s municipality, near Basaid, on the parcel of 450 ha. Value of the investment is 63 million EUR , and constructing of 24 wind generators is also planned on this location.
-This is high technology which does not consider big number of employees, but we would be recognized as a region that uses renewable energy sources in EU- Velimir Ilic, Chairman in North Banat’s region.
Company which constructed wind parks and solar plants in France contacted Ministry of Resources with a request to find a municipality where big land parcel with not so many owners, exist. Municipality Kikinda turned out to be a great solution because company “Coric agrar” from Basaid has appropriate land complex.
Except for that, representatives of Belgian-Holland Company “Wind Vision” and Kikinda municipality signed a cooperation memorandum in energy efficiency area. This contract considers construction of biomass facilities. Future energy plant will use harvest waste as a raw material.
