Slovenia is making a good progress with the project of building five hydroelectric power plants in the last route of 50 kilometers of the river Sava. Three hydroelectric power plants have already been built in Bostanji, Blanci and Krisko. The works on the fourth Brezica is to start these days.
Last hydroelectric plant, which worth 250 is million euros will be made in Mokrice which is approximately 10 kilometers downstream.
The works on the current hydroelectric power plant is expected to be completed in the second half of 2017. Brezice’s capacity will be 45 MW, with an annual production of 161 GWh, while the premises of total electricity production in Slovenia will participate with 1%.
The construction of the last hydroelectric power plant in Mokrice is expected to start next year and it is assumed to be completed around 2018 or 2019.
