According to the data from the Statistical Office of Republic of Slovenia, households were paying 0.153 euros per kWh of electricity and 0.053 euros per kWh of natural gas in the first quarter of 2021. Compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year, electricity prices decreased by 1 %, while gas prices dropped by 4 %. The average electricity price for industrial consumers in the first quarter of 2021 amounted to 0.087 euros/kWh without VAT, which is a 3 % decreased compared to the previous quarter. Natural gas prices for industrial consumers in Slovenia decreased by 2 % compared to the last quarter of 2020 and amounted to 0.028 euros/kWh without VAT. The average price of electricity for households in Slovenia decreased by 8 % in the fourth quarter of 2020, compared to the previous quarter. At the same time, the average price of natural gas for households in the fourth quarter of 2020 dropped by 4 %.
