Slovenia: Public call for purchase of 51 % stake in Energija Plus
, SEE Energy NewsA public call for the expression of interest in the purchase of 51 % stake in Elektro Maribor’s subsidiary Energija Plus was published by state-owned Slovenian electricity distributor Elektro Maribor.
Energija Plus is the third largest electricity supplier in Slovenia. The company also supplies natural gas and heat and owns solar power plants and a network of public charging stations for electric vehicles.
Elektro Maribor intends to keep the remaining 49 % in Energija Plus and will consider as important any potential strategic investors. The deadline for the submission of letters of interest is 10 August.
Elektro Maribor is one of five Slovenian electricity distribution companies, the other four being: Elektro Ljubljana, Elektro Celje, Elektro Primorska and Elektro Gorenjska.
