The operator of the Slovenian coal-fired thermal power plant Sostanj TES disconnected block 6 of that power plant from the network due to the planned maintenance, it was announced on Wednesday.
The works should be completed by May 9, the power plant operator said in a statement.
During the overhaul, the production of electricity for the needs of the Slovenian electricity network and thermal energy for the Saleska Valley will be provided by Unit 5 and gas units.
Unit 6 has produced 1,012 GWh of electricity since the beginning of 2022, the statement added.
The state-owned Holding Slovenske elektrarne (HSE) is the sole owner of TEŠ.
