Slovenia:Oil company Petrol net profit in the half year increased by 6%
, SEE Energy NewsSlovenian energy company Petrol in the first half of this year, generated sales revenues of EUR 1.9 billion, which is 7 percent more than in same period last year, and net income of 24.4 million was increased for six percent.
It sold 1.3 million tons of crude oil, which is an increase of 13 percent compared to last year’s semi-annual period. Sales of natural gas is increased by 8 percent to 72.8 million cubic meters, and the current gas sales by 4 percent – to 33,000 tons.
Petrol in the first half of the year sold 2.2 terawatt hours of electricity, which is 95 percent more than in the same period last year. From retail in stores within its services it is generated revenue of EUR 224.7 million, which is a decrease of five percent compared to the first half of last year.
Out of 469 Petrol’s services, most of them are in Slovenia (316), Croatia (95) and BH (37).
In a statement of management and supervisory board of Petrol, with semi-annual business report, it is stated that good results are achieved despite sharpened economic situation in Slovenia and Croatia, which are the two major markets of Petrol and where a decline in economic activity is present, of employment and private consumption, with increased illiquidity and reduced payment discipline.
