Director of Mines and Thermal Power Plant / TPP / “Ugljevik” Anto Gajic said that this year a record amount of electricity was produced, 98 percent of the total year’s plan, and a profit of eight million CM is expected.
“Since 39 days are left till the end of the year, we have so far produced 1,623,824 megawatt-hours of electricity, which means that the annual electricity production plan will be not only achieved, but also surpassed,” said Gajic
Gajic pointed out that MTPP “Ugljevik” produced 1,836,295 tons of coal, which is 95 percent of this year’s plan, for which we can safely say that it will be fulfilled.
“With 9,563,569 cubic meters of solid mass this year plan has already been surpassed by four percent and the total achievement is 104 percent,” said Gajic.
He noted that all employees in the company are responsible for such good production results but prerequisites for outstanding achievements in production are investments made in previous years.
“The trend of investment continued in this year in when a total investment of about 20 million CM has been recorded,” Gajic said, adding that the overhaul of the thermal power plant has been successfully completed in 37 days, although it was planned to be done in 60 days.
MTPP “Ugljevik” provides one-third in the total production of electricity in the Electric Power Industry of Republic Srpska.
