The largest private Ukrainian energy holding DTEK in 2015 reduced the production of electricity by 20%, to 38.284 billion kWh.
For comparison, in 2014, power plants belonging to the energy holding, generated 47.8 billion kWh, the company said in the statement.
According to the report, the Company’s production of coal in 2015 decreased by 22.7% – from 37.1 million tons in 2014 to 28.7 million tons in 2015.
Electricity exports by the end of 2015 was reduced by half to 3.555 billion kWh, coal exports decreased three times – to 1.387 million tons.
DTEK also in 2015 has reduced imports of coal for the needs of its thermal power plants by 4 times, in 2015 only 0.404 million tons from 1.687 million tons in 2014.
