Nuclear power plants (NPP) in Ukraine in January-February 2016 reduced the production of electricity by 3.8% (0.62 billion kWh) compared to the same period in 2015 – up to 15.578 billion kWh, the press service of the Zaporozhye NPP reported.
According to release, for two months of this year, production of the Zaporozhye nuclear power amounted to 6.292 billion kWh (-11.4%), the South-Ukrainian nuclear power plant – 3.202 billion kWh (+ 13.5%), Rivne – 3,338,000,000 kWh -h (-2.6%), Khmelnytsky – 2.746 billion kWh (-3.7%).
As of Friday morning 12 of the 15 blocks of four operating nuclear power plants in Ukraine are operating. On the block №1 Zaporozhye NPP – 77 th day of planned capital repairs at the Zaporizhzhya NPP unit №2 – 19 th day average planned repairs on the unit №2 of the South Ukrainian nuclear power plant – the 8th day maintenance.
As reported, the State Enterprise “” Energoatom “reduced electricity production by 0.8% in 2015 (to 732.8 million kWh) compared to the 2014 year – up to 87 billion 840.2 million kWh, vacation – on 0.8% (to 661.3 million kWh), up to 82 billion 561.8 million kWh.
