The deadline for the submission of expression of interest is 5 March 2021. State-owned oil company Albpetrol announced the invitation for the expression of interest in concession agreements for two oilfields in southern Albania. According to the statement from the company, the two oilfields in question are in Povelca and Frakulla areas in Fier region. Albania has oil reserves of 220 million barrels and natural gas reserves of 5.7 billion cubic meters. The Patos-Marinza oilfield in southwestern Albania is the largest onshore field in continental Europe.
