Albania, Possible oil and gas discovery

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the company Shell is very close to important oil and gas discovery in Albania, which would strongly influence not only the future of the country, but the future of the entire continent.

During his visit to the Netherlands, PM Rama said that the Government is full of hope that it will soon be able to notify the public about a very important discovery that Shell is working on in Albania.

In May 2019, Shell announced that the explorations near the city of Berat, in central Albania, had confirmed the possibility of a significant detection of oil.
