Albanian Ministry of Industry and Energy announced that three companies have requested permits for the construction of three small hydropower plants (SHPP) with power output of 2 MW each on Drin and Selce rivers.
E.B.S. Konstruksion, Selca Energji and W.T.S.- ENERGJI are the three companies in question. Tirana-based E.B.S. Konstruksion was established in July 2016 and it plans to build 2 ME SHPP on Murres river, a branch of Black Drin. Selca Energji applied for the permits for the construction of 2 MW HPP Vriela, while W.T.S.-ENERGJI plans to build 2 MW HPP Dobrinje on Selce river.
