The arbitration court in Zurich, Switzerland, decided that BH-Gas and Energoinvest are obliged to pay 11.16 million dollars to the Hungarian carrier FGSZ due to the change in the gas supply route from Russia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, two companies said in a statement
In September 2021, FGZS initiated a dispute, demanding compensation from the BiH entity, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, of more than 21 million dollars.
As of April 1, 2021, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina changed the supply route of Russian gas and switched to Turkish Stream, even though the contract with the Hungarian FGSZ was supposed to be in force until 2023.
Until 2021, Bosnia and Herzegovina received Russian gas through a gas pipeline that went through Ukraine, Hungary and Serbia.
