Bosnia and Herzegovina: Construction of 500 MW Nevesinje solar complex to start next year
, SEE Energy NewsConstruction of Nevesinje solar complex consisting of seven solar power plants with combined installed capacity of 500 MW will start in 2024, director of Etmax Sinisa Maksimovic announced. In March, Etmax signed a concession agreement with RS Ministry of Energy and Mining on the construction of Nevesnje solar power plant. This created the conditions for the realization of one of the largest solar projects in region.
The estimated investment value of project is over 450 million euros. When commissioned, the solar complex will be able to cover the demand of between 250,000 and 300,000 households.
The complex will consist of one 200 MW solar power plant with estimated annual electricity generation of 316 GWh and six smaller power plants with 50 MW capacity each, expected to produce 79 GWh of electricity per year each.
Deadline for the completion and commissioning of the plant is six years, of which one year will be spent on project design.
