Swiss-based EFT Group, one of the biggest electricity traders in BiH, has plans to build a large -scale solar power plants near Bileca in the Republic of Srpska (RS).
The future solar power plant will have installed capacity of 60 MW, will stretch over 133 hectares of land, with estimated annual electricity production of some 84 GWh. Earlier in January, RS Government adopted the decision on initiating the procedure for awarding the concession. EFT Group operates 300 MW coal-fired thermal power plant Stanari and nearby coalmine, the first private large-scale investment in BiH energy sector. The plant recorded profit of some 20 million euros in 2018.
