Gross electricity production in Bosnia and Herzegovina in February 2022 amounted to 1,393 GWh, the Central Bureau of Statistics announced.
This is about 17% less than in the previous month (compared to 1,682 GWh in January).
Hydropower plants participated in the total gross production with 31.6% (440 GWh), thermal power plants with 65.6% (914 GWh), and solar and wind power plants with 2.8% (39 GWh).
Electricity imports amounted to 204 GWh in February, compared to 225 GWh in January, while exports decreased on a monthly basis from 670 GWh to 524 GWh.
A total of 976 GWh of electricity was available on the domestic market in February.
Lignite production decreased on a monthly basis from 538 thousand tons in January to 490 thousand tons in February 2022.
When it comes to the supply of natural gas, in the second month of this year, 31,122 thousand cubic meters of gas were imported.
