, SEE Energy NewsGross electricity production in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) in January 2022 amounted to 899 GWh, which is by 22.6 % lower compared to January last year, when it amounted to 1,161 GWh.
Net electricity production amounted to 836 GWh, of which 362 GWh (43.3 %) was produced in hydropower plants, 439 GWh (52.5 %) was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 35 GWh. In January, electricity imports amounted to 17 GWh, compared to 69 GWh in the same month last year, while electricity exports amounted to 286 GWh, compared to 355 GWh last January.
In the same month, production of brown coal amounted to 326,427 tons, which is 3.8 % more compared to 2020 when the production stood at 314,621 tons. Lignite production in January 2022 amounted to 80,993 tons, while in January 2021 it amounted to 109,578 tons, a 26.1 % decrease.
Coke production in January 2022 totaled 78,302 tons, which is 3.3 % less than 80.985 tons produced in January 2021.
