Gross electricity production in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) in September 2022 amounted to 579 GWh, which is by 23.6 % lower compared to September last year, when it amounted to 758 GWh.
Net electricity production amounted to 535 GWh, of which 128 GWh (23.9 %) was produced in hydropower plants, 372 GWh (69.5 %) was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 35 GWh. In September, electricity imports amounted to 69 GWh, compared to 257 GWh in the same month last year, while electricity exports amounted to 53 GWh, compared to 269 GWh last September.
In the same month, production of brown coal amounted to 384,439 tons, which is 15.1 % more compared to 2021 when the production stood at 333,944 tons. Lignite production in September 2022 amounted to 121,629 tons, while in September 2021 it amounted to 135,196 tons, a 10 % decrease.
Coke production in September 2022 totaled 59,076 tons, which is 24.6 % less than 78.333 tons produced in September 2021.
