Bosnia and Herzegovina: New SPP to be built near Bosanski Petrovac
, SEE Energy NewsThe Mayor of Bosanski Petrovac confirmed that the solar power plant will stretch over 150 hectares at the Bjelajski Vaganac site. The municipality of Bosanski Petrocav has authorized the Government of the Una-Sana Canton to launch a tender for awarding a concession for the construction of 90 MW solar power plant, a project with estimated cost of over 50 million euros.
Bosnia and Herzegovina does not have any operational large-scale solar power plants. However, last year, the Government of the Republic of Srpska awarded a concession for 73 MW solar power plant Trebinje 1 to state-owned power utility ERS and a concession for 60 MW solar power plant Bileca to EFT. Both plants should be commissioned in 2022.
