RiTE Ugljevik, the company which operates thermal power plant and coalmine Ugljevik, has signed an agreement on the installation of flue gas desulfurization system with the representatives of Japanese company Mitsubishi.
Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining of the Republic of Srpska (RS), Petar Djokic said that the installation of this system will extend the operational life of the plant. He pointed out that with the realization of this agreement, power utility ERS will fulfill their part of the international obligations in respect of the application of international environmental standards, especially those regarding the reduction of emissions.
Minister Djokic stressed that the project should be completed within 35 months and that its worth amounts to 79.5 million euros, transmits Serbia-energy.eu
