The Republic of Srpska (RS) has signed a cooperation agreement with Russian company Rakurs Engineering on the construction of four mid-size hydropower plants with estimated value of around 500 million euros.
The Ministry of Industry, Mining and Energy said that the agreement envisages the construction of four hydropower plants on the Vrbas river, with a combined installed capacity of 70 MW.
The HPPs in question are: 24.01 MW HPP Trn with an average annual output of 139.90 GWh, 16.18 MW HPP Laktasi with an estimated annual production of 95.2 GWh, 13.3 MW Kosjerevo HPP with 102 GWh of production and 16.5 MW Razboj HPP with annual production of 102.1 GWh of electricity.
