Bosnia: TSO Co Elektroprenos BiH demands transport fee increase, SEE Energy News
The State Electricity Regulatory Commission issued a decision on the tariff for transmission services, which remains at the current level. From the “Transmission Company” confirmed that on March 11th this year addressed demand to the State Regulatory Commission for electricity to modify the approved tariffs, but that eventually increase in the electricity price for end customers is not caused by tariff of “Elektroprenos BiH”.
They clarify that this is because it is necessary to ensure with tariff the revenue essential t for efficient, safe and reliable company operations, which certainly also implies covering the necessary costs because of the smooth and efficient functioning of the transmission activity.
– The reason for making this request is a significant increase in the utility cost and reduced income as a result of lower volume of transmitted energy. It is the income that a company cannot influence – it is said in a statement from “Elektroprenos BiH”.

Namely, at the session of the State Electricity Regulatory Commission for electricity, held on May 21st , 2015th in Tuzla, after a public debate, it was made a decision which determines the required annual income of “Elektroprenos BiH” Banja Luka during this year and tariffs for services of electricity transmission.
With this decision, the average transmission fee shall be retained at the current level; a part of the transmission fee pertaining to power was reduced by 3.1% from July 1st, 2015th.
