, SEE Energy NewsA total of 2,153,961.5 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) in August 2021, which is 5.4 % less compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume in August amounted to 69,482.6 MWh. Traded volume in August 2021 was 52 % higher compared to the same month last year.
The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in August amounted to 111.55 euros/ MWh, which is 17.6 % higher compared to August (94.89 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 121.42 euros/MWh (+ 20.7 %). There were a total of 86 registered participants on the IBEX day -ahead market, the same as in the previous month.
Regarding intraday market, a total of 108,594.7 MWh (+ 8.6 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 123.61 euros/MWh (+ 26.1 %).
