Austrian renewables developer Enery plans to build a solar power plant with an installed capacity of at least 100 MW in the coming months. Bulgarian Association for Production, storage and Trading of Electricity (APSTE) announced that Enery signed a 12-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the producer of lead and zinc, KCM. The company will offtake the electricity generated by the plant.
The plant will be developed by Enery’s majority-owned subsidiary Enery Element, which was set up as a joint venture between Enery Development and another Austrian renewables developer Element Power RE.
The solar power plant will be located in northern Bulgaria. It is expected to be commissioned in mid-2024.
