Bulgarian gas supplier Bulgargaz proposed a wholesale natural gas price applicable for November of 67.27 levs (34.4 euro) per MWh.
In October, Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) approved a wholesale natural gas price of 60.41 levs per MWh.
Natural gas prices for November deliveries on the main European TTF gas hub have gone up by more than a quarter in the past week, to 49 euro per MWh. Reasons for price hike include the attacks on Israel, the threat of strikes at liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities in Australia and the leak on the Baltic gas pipeline to Scandinavia, Bulgargaz said in a press release.
The public supplier will table its final price request for November with the EWRC on the first of the month, taking into account price-forming components as at October 31.
