In Bulgaria, in November 2020, production of electricity increased by 21.2 %, compared to October, to 3,637 GWh, while consumption of electricity rose by 16.6 % on monthly basis and amounted to 3,070 GWh, according to Bulgarian National Statistical Institute.
Consumption of natural gas in November 2020 increased by 30.8 % and amounted to 323 million cubic meters, while its production remained the same and amounted to 5 million cubic meters. Compared to November 2019, production of electricity decreased by 3.9 %, while its consumption rose by 7.5 %. Consumption of natural gas increased by 24.7 % compared to November 2019. In November, production of unleaded petrol increased by 1.1 % and amounted to 94,000 tons, while its consumption decreased by 9.8 % and amounted to 37,000 tons. Production of diesel in November increased by 0.5 % compared to the previous month and amounted to 197,000 tons, while its consumption dropped by 14.8 % and amounted to 184,000 tons. Consumption of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) increased by 15.6 % and amounted to 37,000 tons, while its production dropped by 28.6 % and amounted to 5,000 tons. In the same period, production of solid fuels decreased by 6.7 % to 1,957 thousand tons, while consumption of this energy resource also fell by 5.4 % to 2,055 thousand tons.
