Bulgaria, Production of electricity in December 2022 increased by 4.5 %, compared to November
, SEE Energy NewsAccording to Bulgarian National Statistical Institute, production of electricity in December 2022 increased by 4.5 %, compared to November, to 4,383 GWh, while consumption of electricity increased by 17.1 % on monthly basis and amounted to 3,267 GWh. Consumption of natural gas in December 2022 increased by 26.1 % and amounted to 280 million cubic meters, while its production remained the same and amounted to 1 million cubic meters.
Compared to December 2021, production of electricity decreased by 12.6 %, while its consumption dropped by 3.5 %. Consumption of natural gas decreased by 23.9 % compared to December 2021, while its production dropped by 50 %.
In December, production of unleaded petrol dropped by 3.1 % and amounted to 156,000 tons, while its consumption increased by 15.8 % and amounted to 44,000 tons. Production of diesel in December decreased by 20.4 % and amounted to 246,000 tons, while its consumption increased by 16.1 % and amounted to 238,000 tons.
Consumption of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) rose by 34.1 % and amounted to 55,000 tons, while its production decreased by 25 % and amounted to 6,000 tons. In the same period, production of solid fuels increased by 5.8 % to 3,283 thousand tons, while consumption of this energy resource also rose by 4.7 % to 3,239 thousand tons.
