According to Bulgarian National Statistical Institute, production of electricity in July 2022 increased by 4.2 %, compared to June, to 4,202 GWh, while consumption of electricity also rose by 8.3 % on monthly basis and amounted to 2,614 GWh. Consumption of natural gas in July 2022 increased by 5 % and amounted to 189 million cubic meters, while its production dropped by 50 % to 1 million cubic meters.
Compared to July 2021, production of electricity increased by 9.6 %, while its consumption dropped by 4.8 %. Consumption of natural gas decreased by 27 % compared to July 2021, while its production dropped by 50 %.
In July, production of unleaded petrol fell by 3.2 % and amounted to 162,000 tons, while its consumption decreased by 37.9 % and amounted to 36,000 tons. Production of diesel in July increased by 6.9 % compared to the previous month and amounted to 325,000 tons, while its consumption increased by 1.9 % and amounted to 215,000 tons.
Consumption of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) dropped by 18.2 % and amounted to 39,000 tons, while its production rose by 11.1 % and amounted to 10,000 tons. In the same period, production of solid fuels increased by 16.1 % to 2,760 thousand tons, while consumption of this energy resource rose by 14.2 % to 2,761 thousand tons.
