Bulgaria: Production of electricity in June, SEE Energy News
In June 2020, production of electricity increased by 15.1 % compared to May, to 3,149 GWh, while consumption of electricity dropped by 0.3 % on monthly basis and amounted to 2,337 GWh, according to Bulgarian National Statistical Institute.
Consumption of natural gas in June 2020 decreased by 5.4 % and amounted to 175 million cubic meters, while its production remained the same and amounted to 4 million cubic meters. Compared to June 2019, production of electricity increased by 3.1 %, while its consumption fell by 7.3 %. Consumption of natural gas decreased by 0.6 % compared to June 2019. In June, production of unleaded petrol increased by 19 % and amounted to 75,000 tons, while its consumption decreased by 4.7 % and amounted to 41,000 tons. Production of diesel in June increased by 31.1 % compared to the previous month and amounted to 173,000 tons, while its consumption rose by 19 % and amounted to 163,000 tons. Consumption of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) increased by 16.7 % and amounted to 42,000 tons, while its production remained approximately the same and amounted to 5,000 tons. At the same period, production of solid fuels increased by 6.7 % to 1,309 thousand tons, while consumption of this energy resource also rose by 7.8 % to 1,386 thousand tons.
