Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) said that record high traded volume of over 18,171.1 MWh was realized on the intraday market with delivery day 22 January. The traded volume represents a significant increase compared to the previous record on the intraday market, which was achieved on 2 December 2020 when the total traded volume reached 10,499.9 MWh. The Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) has started electricity trading on 19 January 2016. It was established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) and was developed in partnership with Nord Pool Spot. Intraday trading segment started on 11 April 2018.
