A total of 2,275,480.3 MWh of electricity was traded on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) in
December 2021, which is 1.8 % more compared to the previous month. Average daily traded volume in December amounted to 73,402.6 MWh. Traded volume in December 2021 was 29.6 % higher compared to the same month last year.
The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in December amounted to 219.81 euros/ MWh, which is 5.3 % higher compared to November (208.7 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 269.85 euros/MWh (+ 9.3 %). There were a total of 86 registered participants on the IBEX day-ahead market, three less than in the previous month.
Regarding intraday market, a total of 72,599.3 MWh (- 17.3 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 245.1 euros/MWh (+ 26.9 %).
