In October 2020 on the day-ahead market of the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) a total of 1,437,849 MWh of electricity was traded, which is 3.5 % more compared to the previous month.
Average daily traded volume in October amounted to 46,382.2 MWh. Traded volume in October 2020 was 93.8 % higher compared to the same month last year. The average baseload price on the day-ahead market in October amounted to 43.16 euros/MWh, which is 6.7 % lower compared to September (46.25 euros/MWh), while average peak price was 47.7 euros/MWh (- 3.8 %). There were a total of 81 registered participants on the IBEX day-ahead market, the same as in the previous month. Regarding intraday market, a total of 98,953 MWh (+ 31.2 %) was traded, with the average weighted price of 43.84 euros/MWh (- 10.3 %).
