Croatia: Crodux energy ltd has obtained permission for TPP near Slavonski Brod
, SEE Energy NewsEnergy Business of entrepreneur Ivan Cermak, owner of Crodux gas, is developing as planned. Late last year, he got permission for the power plant near Slavonski Brod, as he planned, and half a year since his company Crodux derivatives formally took 63 OMV’s gas stations in Croatia in June 2013, re-branding was completed too, and also the change of name of former OMV stations on behalf of Crodux derivatives, writes Leader.
– When it comes to colors and markings, rebranding of petrol stations is over. The next stage are illuminated advertising panels, and totems, which should be completed by the spring of 2014 – says Cermak, who, besides petrol stations, took OMV’s storage capacities at JANAF terminal in Omisalj and all of OMV’s supply contracts for allegedly hundred MEUR.
And he does not intend to stop there.
– This year we plan to introduce new high-quality fuels and expand the chain of gas stations. Something shall be bought, and something will be built – briefly said Cermak.
When it comes to activities related to the thermal power plant of 600 MW, and investment worth about 450 MEUR, which Crodux should build with partners, are also going according to plan. They started preparatory works, and the land in the Port of Slavonski Brod, where it is planned to be built, is fully prepared to build the strongest power plant in the state.
Once the location permit and united conditions for eligibility of the project for the environment have been obtained, the project is further focused on the development of models of gas procurement, project financing, sale of electricity, the choice of partners … Search for a building permit follows. If greater delays and problems do not happen, power plant, which primarily depends on the interest of investors and partners, and not on the collected documents, could begin construction in 2014 and in 2018 could be put into operation.
