Croatia: Food factory Podravka will build a solar power plant
, SEE Energy NewsThe 2.4 MW solar power plant will be installed on the roofs of three Croatian food factory Podravka’s production buildings located in Koprivnica’s industrial zone Danica. Podravka will receive a 690,000 euros grant by the European Union and the Croatian Government under the Rural Development Program, for its solar power plant project worth some 1.35 million euros.
The statement from the company said that the grant was awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture pursuant to a decision by the Agency for Payments in Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development. The expected period for return on investment with 50 % support is 3.5 years.
The investment is valued at 1.55 million euros, of which HRK 1.35 million is to be used for the construction of the solar power plant, while 200,000 euros will be spent on the development of the measurement facility and the necessary transformer station.
