Croatian oil transportation company JANAF signed a Memorandum of Understanding with South Korean company SK E&S on collaboration in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency. The goal is to promote innovative solutions for a successful energy transition.
JANAF said in a statement that SK E&S is recognized as a global provider of clean energy solutions, and as such, they represent a partner from whom we can gain experience, knowledge, and technologies for the upcoming transformation of JANAF into an integrated energy company. Only by using advanced technologies based on scientific innovations the company will create energy solutions for the broader community with a positive social impact and ensure the long-term survival and success of the company.
SK E&S was founded in 1999 and operates as a global energy company with a focus on building a green portfolio.
The company’s annual revenue is approximately 8 billion euros. It is the first Korean company to be involved in all aspects of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) value chain. SK E&S is strongly investing in solar power plants, wind energy, green hydrogen production, and the global expansion of its business with renewable energy sources and carbon emissions reduction. It is a part of the SK Group, founded in 1953, the second-largest South Korean corporation, strategically focused on advanced materials, biopharmaceuticals, green, and digital sectors.
