According to short-term indicators of energy statistics published by Croatian Bureau of Statistics, net electricity production in Croatia in October 2022 amounted to 1,052 GWh, which is 6 % lower compared to October last year, when the production amounted to 1,119 GWh.
During October, 338 GWh of electricity or 32.1 % was produced in hydropower plants, 499 GWh or 47.4 % was produced in thermal power plants, while wind farms produced 121 GWh or 11.5 % of total produced electricity. During this period, Croatia imported 1,002 GWh of electricity, 2 % more compared to last October (982 GWh), while electricity exports stood at 644 GWh, 11 % more compared to October 2021 (580 GWh).
Regarding hydrocarbon production, Croatia produced 62 million cubic meters of natural gas in October 2022, 1.6 % less compared to the same month last year. Natural gas imports stood at 312 million cubic meters, 54.5 % more than in October 2021. Crude oil production stood at 47,000 tons, same as last year. Production of petroleum products stood at 299,000 tons in October 2022, compared to 297,000 tons in the same month last year.
