Electricity distribution operator EVN Macedonia, part of the Austrian group EVN, has put into operation an 11 MW photovoltaic power plant in Probistip.
The planned annual production of the new solar power plant is 16 GWh, enough to supply electricity to about 4,000 households, EVN Macedonia said in a press release.
The solar power plant consists of three units with capacities of 450 kWp, 950 kWp, and 9,500 kWp, respectively, incorporating a total of 20,148 bifacial panels and 42 inverters, with a connection to the distribution grid through six substations.
With the investment, the company is expanding its production portfolio of installed photovoltaic systems in the country, reaching a total capacity of 20MWp. The company aims to achieve a total installed power of 60 MWp from renewable energy sources by 2030.
