Voltalia has been operating in Greece for 13 years and it currently owns and operates 31 solar power plants with combined installed capacity of 4.7 MW.
At the latest Greek RES auction held on 27 July, French renewables company Voltalia secured 12 MW of solar projects in the Peloponnese region with 20-year power purchase agreements.
The company will build the newly awarded capacity within two projects of 4 MW and 8 MW, located in Korythio. Both projects should be commissioned in the first half of 2021. Voltalia also got construction and maintenance contracts for one 10 MW solar project owned by a third-party client that was also secured at the same auction.
Earlier this week, the Albanian Government signed a contract for the construction, operation and maintenance of 140 MW solar power plant in Karavasta with Voltalia.
