Hungarian oil and gas company MOL announced that it has made yet another natural gas discovery in TAL block in Pakistan.
An exploration well in TAL block yielded gas flow rate of 2,300 barrels of oil equivalent per day during the test phase. Currently, total gas production at TAL block stands at about 80,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
Earlier this week, MOL announced another hydrocarbons discovery at the same block, stating that an exploration well flowed at the rate of 2,020 barrels of oil per day and 900 barrels of oil equivalent per day during the testing period.
MOL’s partners in TAL block are OGDC, PPL, POL and GHPL. This discovery is MOL’s ninth in the TAL block and 13th in Pakistan. In late March, the company announced the discovery of new hydrocarbons deposit in Karak block, which was the third one in this block.
MOL is present in Pakistan for 17 years already and has equity stakes in five blocks in the country. Last year, average daily hydrocarbons production of all MOL’s blocks in Pakistan reached 103,900 barrels of oil equivalent per day, transmits Serbia-energy.eu
