Macedonia, Electricity consumption in North Macedonia in June 2021 amounted to 529,670 MWh

Total electricity consumption in North Macedonia in June 2021 amounted to 529,670 MWh, natural gas consumption amounted to 17.46 million cubic meters, coal consumption reached 281,511 tons, while the consumption of petroleum products stood at 97,130 tons.

According to the data from State Statistical Office, 66.5 % of electricity consumed in June was covered by domestic production, while 93.2 % of the total coal consumption was used for electricity production.

Total net production of electricity in Macedonia in June 2021 stood at 331,558 MWh, which is by 2.7 % lower compared to the same month last year. 137,087 MWh or 41.3 % was produced at thermal power plants (+ 4.2 % compared to June 2020), 110,640 MWh or 33.4 % was produced at hydropower plants (- 7.5 %), 67,702 MWh or 20.4 % in CHP plants and 9,088 MWh or 2.74 % was produced by Bogdanci wind farm.

Production at biogas power plants reached 4,437 MWh, while solar power plants produced 2,604 MWh of electricity in June.
