Total electricity consumption in North Macedonia in November 2021 amounted to 699,451 MWh, natural gas consumption amounted to 47.97 million cubic meters, coal consumption reached 319,373 tons, while the consumption of petroleum products stood at 102,983 tons.
According to the data from State Statistical Office, 58.5 % of electricity consumed in November was covered by domestic production, while 94.4 % of the total coal consumption was used for electricity production.
Total net production of electricity in Macedonia in November 2021 stood at 385,603 MWh, which is by 0.8 % higher compared to the same month last year. 147,063 MWh or 38.1 % was produced at thermal power plants (- 17.7 % compared to November 2020), 68,715 MWh or 17.8 % was produced at hydropower plants (+ 118.2 %), 158,352 MWh or 41.1 % in CHP plants (approximately the same as in November 2020)
and 5,859 MWh or 1.5 % was produced by Bogdanci wind farm.
Production at biogas power plants reached 4,608 MWh, while solar power plants produced 1,006 MWh of electricity in November.
