Macedonia, OKTA refinery recorded profit in 2021
, SEE Energy NewsNorth Macedonian oil refinery OKTA, owned by Greek Hellenic Petroleum recorded a net profit in the amount of 6.2 million euros in 2021, compared to a net loss of 8.5 million euros recorded in the previous year.
The company’s sales revenues rose by 71 % year- on-year in 2021, reaching 421 million euros, of which 323.5 million euros was achieved in the domestic market (65 % increase) and 97.5 million euros on the foreign markets, which is 93 % more compared to 2020.
OKTA, a member of ELPE Group, remains the main supplier of fuel in Macedonia , covering more than half of the needs of the domestic market and significant exports to Kosovo. The company owns Skopje refinery with installed capacity of 2.5 million tons.
