Total electricity consumption in North Macedonia in October 2021 amounted to 595,653 MWh, natural gas consumption amounted to 45.76 million cubic meters, coal consumption reached 336,109 tons, while the consumption of petroleum products stood at 98,364 tons.
According to the data from State Statistical Office, 71.9 % of electricity consumed in October was covered by domestic production, while 97.1 % of the total coal consumption was used for electricity production.
Total net production of electricity in Macedonia in October 2021 stood at 402,451 MWh, which is by 12.4 % higher compared to the same month last year. 153,184 MWh or 37.8 % was produced at
thermal power plants (- 26.2 % compared to October 2020), 67,407 MWh or 16.6 % was produced at hydropower plants (+ 15 %), 168,665 MWh or 41.9 % in CHP plants (+ 119.5 %) and 7,302 MWh or 1.8 % was produced by Bogdanci wind farm.
