CEO of Montenegrin state-owned power utility EPCG Nikola Rovcanin said that the contract on the preliminary design of the district heating
system in Pljevlja, namely the construction of the primary heat pipeline from TPP Pljevlja to the city, has been signed and that the preliminary works on the project could start in March or April.
The public call for the procurement of the preliminary design was launched in November last year. Rovcanin said that EPCG allocated 2.5 million euros for the Pljevlja heating project. According to him, the winning bidder will have 45 days, namely until the end of January, to submit a preliminary design, after which a public call for the main project will be launched, probably in February. The deadline for the development of the main design will be 60 days, after which the realization of the project could start.
