North Macedonia: April electricity production
, SEE Energy NewsAccording to the data from State Statistical Office, 68.1 % of the consumed electricity in April was covered by domestic production, while 96.8 % of the total coal consumption was used for electricity production. Total electricity consumption in North Macedonia in April 2020 amounted to 587,015 MWh, natural gas consumption amounted to 12.51 million cubic meters, coal consumption reached 398,917 tons, while the consumption of petroleum products stood at 76,898 tons. Total net production of electricity in Macedonia in April 2020 stood at 375,667 MWh, which is 0.8 % lower compared to the same month last year. 204,656 MWh or 54.5 % was produced at thermal power plants (- 20.8 % compared to April 2019), 139,129 MWh or 37 % was produced at hydropower plants (+ 29.1 %) and 7,440 MWh or 1.98 % was produced by Bogdanci wind farm.
