Total net production of electricity in North Macedonia in July 2023 amounted to 441,888 MWh, 10% higher compared to the same month last year, according to the data from the State Statistical Office.
In July, 153,180 MWh or 35% was produced at thermal power plants, 134,097 MWh or 30% was produced at hydropower plants, 133,045 MWh or 30% at CHP plants and 13,451 MWh or 3% was produced by wind farm. Production at biogas power plants was 3,214 MWh, while solar power plants produced 4,901 MWh of electricity.
Total electricity consumption in Macedonia in July amounted to 483,722 MWh, natural gas consumption amounted to 28.8 million cubic meters, coal consumption reached 335,319 tons, while the consumption of petroleum products stood at 99,448 tons.
Around 96% of the electricity consumed in July was covered by domestic production.
